Brian's Baseball Page

Welcome to my page. Unfortunately, if you are not a true baseball fan you have to leave. NOW! Okay, now that all the fair-weather fans are gone, I can talk normal. Now on to the baseball. Thank you for coming and please tell your friends.

The Red Sox Column

Brian "The Yankee Killer" Rose led the Red Sox to victory yesterday. His only two wins are against the Yankees. "Rose stopped us cold. We are still struggling." said Joe Torre yesterday. Mike Stanley hit a three-run bomb in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. Garciaparra also homered which is his sixth. Tom Gordon picked up his eighth save which pushes the Red Sox to their fourth win in a row. The Red Sox are set to play the Yankees again today and I think they will win just like they did yesterday.

The White Sox Column

Well, the White Sox just got out-gunned by the Indians. Parque picked up his fourth loss of the season, but hung in there real well. There's not much more to say about this that won't make you cry Guy. The White Sox will play the Indians again today (start praying now).

The Cub Column

The Cubs got hammered yesterday in what was a bomb fest for the Marlins. Runs were also added on by errors. Benito Santiago pulled a Baker when he threw the ball over Trachsel's head. Somebody should get him some Playboys. Mickey Morandini extended his hitting streak to 11 games. The Cubs will play the Marlins again today and hopefully they will win this time.
